Integrate the “Grande Ecole” programme
IESEG School of Management is the top ranking “post-bac” business school in France.
The 1st year entrance exam is open to all students in their final year of the “lycée” as well as those who are 20 or under the year they pass the exam.
ACCES entrance exam
The ACCES exam is common to three schools: l’IESEG, l’ESDES and l’ESSCA. IESEG offers 480 seats in the 1st year.
Written section
- Synthesis (3h/coef:2.5) The candidate has to summarise a series of documents ( texts, pictures, graphs) based on the same theme, in no more than 350 words. The candidate has to find the main ideas, organise them and summarise them in one text.
- French (2h/coef: 2.5) There are 2 parts to this section. Part one evaluates the candidate’s spelling, vocabulary and grammar….. Part 2 tests the aptitude to understand abstract ideas or concepts: after having read the 2 texts the candidate completes a questionnaire.
- Mathematics (3h/coef: 5) There are 2 parts to this section: part 1 tests mental arithmetic, algebra and geometry. The level of knowledge required is equivalent to that of students preparing the “baccalaureat générale”. Part 2 tests logical reasoning.
- English (1h30/coef:2) This tests the candidate’s grammar, syntax, current vocabulary and general culture. No dictionaries allowed.
- 2nd language exam (1h/bonus) This test is optional. It evaluates the candidate’s grammar, syntax and vocabulary. Only the marks above average are taken into account and the bonus is added to the total marks achieved in this section. No dictionaries allowed. There are 3 languages chosen: German, Spanish and Italian.
Oral Examination
- Individual interview:(1h/coef:5) The objective of this interview is to test the candidate’s personality, motivation, potential and ability to follow the IESEG cursus as well as their aptitude to integrate the working world.
- English(20min/coef:2) The English oral aims at testing the candidate’s oral language level. The candidate is given a text based on a current affairs issue, prepares a summary and commentary and discusses this with the examiner. The main objective here is being able to communicate in a foreign language.

- 6th January to 24th March 2010: student enrolment for the ACCES exam on www.concours-acces.com
- 15th-16th April 2010: written exam
- 18th May 2010: results for students eligible to attend the oral examinations
- 2nd June-8th June 2010: oral exams
- 18th June 2010: final results
Scholarship fees for 2009/2010: 7100 euros.
International admission procedure for students attending colleges outside France

In order to facilitate the enrolment process of students outside France and with the permission of the French Ministry of Education, IESEG also recruit a limited number of students attending French lycées abroad (40 seats). Procedures The file may be downloaded on www.ieseg.fr. It has to be completed and returned to the admissions department with the following attachments:
