IESEG School of Management

International Mind-Set

internationalThe strong international dimension of the “Grande Ecole” programme, and the number and quality of the university partners is IESEG’s strong point.
Some subjects are already taught in English from the 1st year and the whole cursus is in English from the 3rd year. A second language is obligatory and is chosen from one of the following: German, Spanish or Chinese. A third language is optional and may be chosen from either Italian, Spanish or Chinese.
IESEG has adopted the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) harmonising all the study programmes with their international partner universities.
All the internships may be done abroad but each student has to have spent at least 4 months abroad on an internship to validate the IESEG diploma.
IESEG is also a member of AACSB (Association to Advanced Collegiate Schools of Business) and EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). These associations that join together the best international business schools aim to promote quality, excellence and international cooperation in management training.

International Exchanges

As early as the 2nd year Ieseg gives the students the opportunity of studying abroad on an exchange programme. There are 3 main objectives:

  • to improve their language skills
  • allow them to observe other cultures and ways of life
  • to familiarise students to other teaching methods and to different ways of approaching management….

IESEG’s University partners are highly reputed and their programmes are compatible to those of the school. Over 75% of the students take part in these exchanges.
For the students who spend their final year abroad and depending on the university partner, they are able to study for a double diploma: MBA, MSc, or MA.

The basis of the international exchanges

  • The exchange may be over one semester or one academic year and may be renewed if desired
  • The exchange programme concerns all the students except those in the 1st year
  • The student on an exchange programme pays the normal IESEG scholarship fees and pays nothing to the partner university
  • The number of students sent to each university is limited to aid their integration
  • The results obtained at the partner university are accepted for the student to be able to be admitted to the following year
  • IESEG welcomes a large number of students from these partner universities thus creating a multicultural and enriching learning environment

139 partner universities in 38 countries
320 students on foreign exchanges
Over 400 students on internships abroad
250 international students present on the Lille campus
