Objectives
The objectives of the Master in Management are to develop students’ personal skills that will allow them to be operational managers with a strategic perspective. They will be capable to act in an international and multicultural environment contributing to change management processes.
Majors
8 majors are proposed:
- Audit / Control
- Finance
- General Management
- Operations Management
- Human Resources Management
- Information Systems Management
- Marketing
- International Negotiation and Sales Management
For each major, the student has to complete courses in the track concerned and choose the electives required among a list of more than 200 courses.
Structure
The Master in Management is a four-semester program with two of them dedicated to learning management in classroom at IESEG School of Management. A one-semester internship in France or abroad is also required as well as the writing of a Master’s thesis or consulting project.
Semester 1: Courses
- Globalization: risks and strategic thinking and skills
- Consulting skills and research methodology
- Change management
- Foreign languages
- + 7 electives
Semester 2: Courses
- Strategic seminar in a Major
- Research seminar in a Major
- Business cycles and corporate management
- Foreign languages
- + 6 electives
Semester 3 or 4: Staff Internship
The internship places students in managerial environments that provide them with opportunities to develop their ability to:
- Analyze a situation or a problem
- Suggest operational solutions
- Take on responsibilities
The internship also exposes students to questions concerning relations and behaviors within companies and organizations.
Semester 3 or 4: Dissertation or Consulting Project
Students identify a problem and define it as a topic for research. They carry out personal research on this subject; it is a piece of applied research and most often in response to an issue raised by a company or an organization.
This semester is also dedicated to professional and personal development. Ethical and corporate social responsibility issues courses will complete this semester.
